Record Store Love

Yesterday I made a trip to Grimey’s New & Preloved Music to pick up a copy of Fiona Apple’s new record on vinyl. Like always, I ended up buying more than originally planned.
Believe it or not, Azealia Banks put out her 1991 ep on vinyl. There was only one in the store and I couldn’t pass it up.
The Fiona Apple vinyl looked awesome but the deluxe version of the cd looked better. It comes in what looks like a notebook. It’s filled with handwritten lyrics and personal artwork. It also comes with a DVD of performances from her SXSW show, two pictures, and a poster. Thankfully, I got to Grimey’s before they ran out of the free 7” of her first single ‘Every Single Night’ and a live version of ‘Anything We Want’.
The extras are awesome but the record speaks for itself. It may have taken 6 years for her to release new music but the wait was worth it.
